The slightly unusual combination that led to this

I spent over ten years working in the tech industry. Building systems, fixing problems, making complicated things work simply. But alongside that, I always had a deep passion for animals - dogs in particular. So a few years ago I decided to do something about it and started training as a dog groomer myself.

I now work two days a week as a groomer. One day for my own clients, one day at a small local salon. So when I talk about the grooming world, I am not talking about it from the outside. I am in it, every week, scissors in hand.

When I first moved to the Netherlands, finding a groomer for my own dog turned out to be surprisingly difficult - not because groomers do not exist here, but because so many of them were essentially invisible online.

Some had no Instagram or Facebook page at all. Some had one but had not posted in two years. Some did not have a Google Business listing, which meant they did not show up when I searched "dog groomer near me." A few had all of the above but the pages looked abandoned - no photos, no reviews, no sense of what the business was actually like.

These were skilled, experienced professionals. The problem was not the grooming. The problem was that nobody could find them.

That is when it clicked. I had a decade of tech experience and I understood exactly what was missing. A dog groomer does not need a marketing agency charging thousands a month. They need something built specifically for them, that takes the online presence problem completely off their plate. So I built it.
